You burn cattle for hygienic reason NOT humans. Last time I checked Afghanistan didn't have any cases of mad cow diseases. So burning them for hygienic reason is a load of crap like all other crap that comes from Pentagon.

Intentional disrespect and desecration bodies is inexcusable and as a military spokesman said repugnant. IF this is true the US government has to take action by punishing the offenders and prevent it from happening again.

There are some terms and conditions in any war and the US soldiers often do not follow them. It is a very serious offence.
Though not all US soldiers are same, and Muslims must not generalize it.

Ya it is very true that the US army could not prove that these guys were taliban members. Perhaps they had a very strong suspicion that these guys were members of the hindu militia disguised as Taliban to discredit them. Hence they deliberately cremated the bodies according to Hindu rites. To my hindu friends here 'is there a particular direction in which the bodies need to placed while cremating'

Alright here we go again, the American apologists trying to give it a spin, one more time. Bodies were being burned for hygienic reasons, and what about the taunting, what was that for??? Lets face it, we do have some serious problems in the U.S. army. First it was Abu-Gharib scandal, then came the desecration of the Quran from Gitmo, and now this. It seems to be a pattern. And the sad part is that the U.S. government is not doing enough to stop these kinda actions, if doing anything at all. Also it has nothing to do with one's religion, as being reported by the media at large, that the Muslims consider burning of a body and then taking the corpse for city tour as an insult. Any person, with a shred of decency, regardless of their religious background would find it sickening(remember Somalia).
Now, berfore people start blaming the Pakistanis for anything, and how we treated the Bengalis in 1971, lets not forget one key point, the American government is in Muslim countries to win the hearts and minds, it's almost impossible to win hearts and minds of young Muslims, with these kind of widespread actions.
