Could this be a first? Normally we wait in anticipation of the camouflage to be taken off prototype cars, but Greenwich Patch](Greenwich News, Breaking News in Greenwich, CT) is reporting that Miller Motorcars in Greenwich, CN has taken a production car back to its prototype days. The McLaren MP4-12C above was painted gray, but you’d never know it because the sheetmetal has been covered by a vinyl wrap decorated with the same camouflage pattern McLarenuses for its pre-production prototypes. It was designed by McLaren - for proof, check out this P1 in winter testing - and took three days to apply. The shapes are those of race tracks around the world.
The dealership calls it the MP4-12C Greenwich Special Edition. It’s a pre-owned car and we’re not sure whether the wrap was applied as new or to help the coupe find a new home, but we’d like to buy a pint for the person that thought it up. If you like the style but not the $259,035 price, you can probably design one for your own car with countless hours and Adobe Illustrator.
