Bob Ferguson, senior vice president of Cadillac, told AN that he thinks “there’s a lot of equity in Escalade” after the 2015 model was unveiled yesterday in New York. “I’d like to explore the notion of other vehicles that would carry that brand name,” he said.
According to Ferguson, General Motors product planners are exploring the possibility of a large crossover on a unibody platform in the same vein as GM’s other large CUVs, the Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse. The 2015 Escalade uses a truck-derived, body-on-frame platform.
