well here, most of the muslim dont believe that Ali (ra) was born inside the kaaba....
the whole story seems fictitious....
Well what do you expect from the same people who say that all the sahaba's except for Salman Farsi (RA) and the Prophet's PBUH relatives, turned munkir after the passing of the Prophet...

First of all that tradition is weak secondly it would have been good if you had also posted the traditions from Saha Satta which says that vast bulk of sahabah turned apostates.
I dont know why people are making fuss over thhat while in Pakistan if you go in Mahfl e Naat (big ones) you will find replica of Kaaba as well as of Masjid Nabwi behind or at a side. I still dont get what is the main objection about maing replica of Kaba! There are thousands of replica of Kaaba and other sacred places available in market to place them in our houses, of course they are not 100% copy of actual kaaba but makers do some extra beautification work, does that mean they are believing that actual kaaba shud have been this way? fooolish thinking behind the thread!

kaaba was never an unattended place, it always had a guardian/caretaker....
am sure if someone was born in kaaba, the person(s) wud have issued a birth certificate for the baby....
Its not just about 'authors' rather its about 'known' authors like Masudi, Imam Hakim (d. 405 H) who called it authentic , Imam Sibt Ibn Jawzi (581-654 H), Shaykh Ibn Talha Shaf'ee (582-682 H) etc.
If you talk about millenium then even 2 milleniums shud be enough to cast doubts on reports then you shud throw away the saha.
Anyhow, the point of this thread was not where you are turning it, the point was a foolish objection on making replica of Kaaba. The birth of Ali [as] if you have forgotten has just been discussed at this very forum.
Seems like no one has the answer to the question: the need or the reason behind the replica of Kabaa.
