Replace Shoaib Malik with Asim Kamal

I was a big fan of Malik until he was allowed to bowl. We had a really good all rounder, but now since he can’t bowl any more, I think he should be replaced with Asim Kamal who is a much more reliable batsman than him. I really don’t think one can compare Malik with Kamal as a batsman.

Eventhough Malik is a much better option then Asim Kamal in ODIs, with the negative bowling tactics Indians have employed by bowling on the leg stump line to our right handed batsmen, having a leftie in the middle order would be a good idea.

I agree that Malik is in poor form and Asim is a good batsman. Unfortunatly, I doubt that these kind of games will suit Asims style. The Indians have made grossly dead tracks that are basically just baseball games. These games are all about power and who can hit the ball the farthest. We are basically forced to select batsmen on the basis of strike rate rather than classical skill. For the same reason I would not drop Afridi despite his struggles.

Baseball does not have a pitch.
Pitcher in baseball does not bounce the ball
Baaseball is not all about power and who can hit the ball the farthest.

Do try hitting a round ball with a round bat at least once and you will understand what baseball is all about. Complexities involved in cricket do not even come close to baseball.

I am not making a literal comparison to baseball in any way.
my point is that this particular series features tracks that assist bowlers to such a small degree that batsmen are reduced to continuous baseball mode i.e. hitting.
I am not suggesting that their is a physical similarity between baseball and cricket (beyond the obvious)
Do try understanding subtlety rather than reading literal meanings.

oooh comooon pppl he just played 2 bad knocks and all u r against him i m sure he can perform better and INSHALLAH he will. and i do think there should be 1 moe left hand batsman in the team and that should be TAUFEEQ not kamal

I dont understand Captain's and Coach's policy, Asim Kamal and Younis Khan were in good form during the test series, they deserve chances in ODIs as well. Bob n Inzi should think about it otherwise there are no chances in coming back in the series.

I think we have given Taufeeq plenty of chances, but he has failed on almost all ocassions. He needs to make serious improvement to his game to be playing at International level.

Malik is a class act and has made long successful strides since Bob took over and there is no way he should be replaced by Asim (by the way I am a big fan of Asim) who will be playing his first one dayer in a crucial match.

Taufeeq may not come back to Int’l cricket at all. The guy has disappointed on flat and dead sub-continent pitches. He never looked the same Taufeeq we know from SA tour.

Malik is a top class cricketer, he will be alright very soon. The professionalism he has, makes him a perfect example for the rest of the team.

comoon ppl TAUFEEQ deserve a chance we all know he is good player atleast wo saw him again SA and NZ and in ODI agaianst india where he scored 140 some in 70 delevries he hasnt got enf support from his captain and coach. i m sure he,ll make a comeback we cant go all the way with kamran akmal as opener .i m with him:k:

i find this type of topics hillarious. Yes saby you were vindicated today. And most probably pakiboy won't show up to face the music. And this topic will be buried. Until the next game rolls around and shoaib gets a first ball duck. Than pakiboy will say "and you were saying." and you probably won't show up.

Well obviuosly you are not a frequent KK visitor otherwise you would know that I always am the first one to applaud or accept the blame for backfired criticism. Even when I am against a player, In my heart I wish for him to succeed for Pakistan’s sake. And most of us kk posters ARE like that.
