Are the laptop dvdroms as easily available/replaced as desktop dvdroms by any computer repair shop or should one take it to the company service centre?
Since notebook computers come in a range of different sizes and weights, so i was wondering if every model and/or company would be having its own unique cdroms?
For laptops and internal CD roms its not cheap to get them replaced. For PC’s you can pick one up for under $10 on Ebay.
The most cost effective option is to get an external DVD drive and attach it to the USB when you need it.
