Yep, I've had reoccuring dreams...some pleasant, some confusing and a few really horrific ones. The weird thing is, sometimes I've a dream one night and the next night, I have the exact same dream about someone else.
I was going to open a thread on dreams myself, but found this, so thought I'd post. Since my childhood, people around me (mostly family) have been having weird dreams about me in one way or another. Almost all of the dreams somehow involve an accident, blood, or death. Even if it's something that's supposedly a happy occasion ends up being not-so-joyous.
This one time my mom had a dream about me going out of town with my dad and when my dad comes back, I'm not with him. Mom asks him about me and he says I died there and he buried me already. Mom's traumatized, saying she didn't even get to see me before I was buried. She can't stop crying. And then for the following few nights (in the dream) she sees my spirit coming to her. She realizes that there's a hole in my grave from which I keep escaping, so she wants my dad to go and fix it. The night before my dad's going to get the hole filled, I visit her for the last time. Though, she's happy I'll be at peace after this, she's upset that this is the last time she'll ever see me.
Then once my mom had a similar dream (back in the days I was in school) where I've gone somewhere with my dad and he comes back without me. She finds out he married me off because it was a good rishta and they didn't want to wait. Even dad comes back shocked...cuz he hadn't realized what he had done. Mom's really upset because she has no idea how the family is or their whereabouts...and somehow she knows I'll never be able to come back.
Last night my sis had a dream where I had gotten into an accident. My bro, mom and grandmother, all have had dreams where they've seen my eyes bleeding.
These are just a few examples I've given. There are numerous other dreams. It's just really weird. It really makes me wonder if there's anything wrong I'm doing.
Wow CB, that is very interesting. Perhaps it is some kind of premonition ... not necessarily a bad one though. I know people would automatically think it is bad cause they see blood and you disappear in the dreams.
Hmm, I don't know if I should say this or not ... whether it is correct in terms of religion.
I know somebody close to me who has often suffered from reoccuring nightmares for years .... that some sort of presence is in her room just watching her while she sleeps. I know it sounds strange but then her mother also started dreaming the same thing ... that something was watching her daughter while she slept in her room.
Anyway, one night, the person who was having the dream actually confronted this thing that was in her room and it was an old lady ... but it refused to go away. So, eventually, this girl and her mother went to some very spiritual and religious people who gave the mother specific duas to read and keep handwritten copies of these duas by the bed and to say them frequently. According to these people, it was a jinn that was haunting this girl. I don't know how accurate it is to say whether it was a jinn or what this presence was. They read the duas for months and eventually this thing whatever it was did go away. Apparently, my friend does tell me that once in a while it does come back ... but it keeps its distance now. Strange.
I've often wondered whether jinns can haunt us in our dreams.

All these people who I met ages ago(old friends,family friends) and we started engaging in casual conversations.It was so weird…I haven’t seen these people in 2-3 years and yet I was in their house talking to them…
dreams, I very often forget my dreams, but yes there are one or two dreams reoccuring, now I dont remember what it is, but once I am dreaming it, I know that I have dreamt this before .. feaky..
if I have a bad dream of someone in it, like my family or something, I don't tell that person, for me its useless to analyse dreams in my opinion, I forget about them anyways.
Thats one place no one is bugging me. I’ve seldom had dreams and when I do its as if I’ve never slept at night. I was known to sleep walk/fight as a kid. Aaah, the peace you can find in sleep is no where to be found!
Oh yeah, never had a reoccuring dreams but dreams that are either trilogies or a to be continued kinda thing leaving me puzzled In my dreams there are usually two extremes, either good or bad. There has never been just a dream.
Anyone ever experienced an Astral Projection? It's when you're almost about to wake up but you're still dreaming. And in your dream you know that its a dream, so you can play around in it any way you like. It doesnt last for long though cuz you wake up soon after. Normally happens around early in the morning when you've had a good night's sleep.
Usually when you experience such a thing you tend to experiment with something you've always wanted to do. I've experienced it three - four times and everytime i tried to fly, and i did! :p And it felt awesome!
Very few individuals (mostly in Japan) practice this art and very few are able to do it on command. The amount of focus and concentration required however is totally out of this world. That is why it is such an out of this world experience. Once you know how to do it though you can visit to anywhere in the world (or the universe for that matter) in realtime just sitting in your bedroom :-)
Yes Cheegum, I know what you are on about. I tend to dream as well when I am half asleep. You are right when you say that these types of dreams can be controlled to a certain extent. It happens to me very rarely though.
Okay i just realized i dream about elevators alot. One of my biggest fears is an elevator cable breaking and me being stuck inside. I have dreamed atleast five to eight times about being in a malfunctioning elevator and finally breaking off and falling down at really high speeds. And as always i wake up on impact, normally very worked up and sweaty.
