Does anyone have any idea how much it costs to rent a car for i.e a week or a month?? With a driver?
I am assuming rent-a-car (or watever they got there) would charge more?? As compared to some local private car place?

Renting agencies are going to rip you off.
Here is what we do, find a taxi driver and ask him if he'd like to be on rent for a few days and name your price.
You'll find that taxi drivers are quite reasonable in price compared to rent a car agencies.

How much do they usually charge u then? if u wouldnt mind telling me that. and do the charges include gas money or is that on "pay-as-u-go" basis (im assuming it is) also, r they available for the whole day? like from say 10 in the morning to 10 at night? (long hours :( )

best would be get a private rent a car service you will have peace of mind, taxi driver option is also good if the driver is faithfull.
about 5000 per week you can get a normal car with driver,
feed the driver extra means, you have to offer them food, lunch and dinner etc. or just give them some rupees every meal time.
