Rental Cars

Can anyone tell me of an affordable rental company that won’t charge an arm and a leg and the rights to your first born’s earnings for a one way rental from Toronto to Vancouver?

Re: Rental Cars

How long do you need the car? What type of car?

Re: Rental Cars

sedan would be fine...prefer not to have a compact.
probably need it for a week....

Re: Rental Cars

Not sure about the Canadian market, but just to give you an idea, a friend of mine just had a one-way rental from the Bay Area to San Diego and left the car there (flew back). He got a full-size car through Avis and paid only $30 extra for the one-way thingy.

Re: Rental Cars

National Car with unlimited mileage from Pearson Airport to Vancouver Airport. May 1- May 8. After coupons (NF2499JOR) and corporate account (5007032) you're getting a week for $422.79 inclusive. You can get a Intermediate(Pontiac G6) or Full-size (Chevrolet Impala) for the same price with those coupons.

Works out to $60 a day.

You wont find anything better than that for your trip (putting 2,500+km is insane). A tip - check if your credit card covers insurance OR sign up for one in time for the trip.

Re: Rental Cars

Alamo is typically the cheapest in US and they have a very good inventory. You also have rent-a-wreck, they have older cars for 10 a day.

You need to shop around, major companies such as Alamo, Avis, Budget, National, Hertz, always have local deals. BTW, airport locations are always more expensive than others.

Good luck,

Re: Rental Cars

The corporate code I gave her takes care of airport locations being more expensive :faizy:

Problem for Muzna is she needs unlimited mileage and one-way. It’ll be difficult beating $60 a day for a full size.

Re: Rental Cars

muzna, when are you going to be in vancouver?
