Renovating a Kitchen

Hey everyone,

How many of you have gone through the process of renovating your kitchen? For those in the greater toronto area, could you recommend some vendors (preferably in the Brampton and Mississauga area) as well as mention how much it cost you?

We have a pretty standard size kitchen and are looking to change the cabinets, countertop, backsplash and appliances. We’re not going for something super fancy, but obviously the work should be high quality and long-lasting.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Re: Renovating a Kitchen

I haven’t gotten my kitchen done yet, but did finish our basement 4.5 years ago, the guy did an amazing job but he is takes on numerous projects at a time so then he takes 4-5 months to finish a job, So I won’t recommend him to you, but there is maxime kitchens in Oakville, I have never dealt with them but I will once we want to get our reno done, they post such amazing projects on the website/facebook of kitchen/bathroom transformations, a while back they did a mudroom as well. I don’t know how much they charge, it’s best just to give them a call for a quote. I would highly recommend that you shop around and get the best deal.

If you do not find a private vendor, there is always the big boxed stores like lowe’s or home depot that will do kitchens as well

Definitely do ur research and get somebody that comes with good recommendations. Many take on several projects at once and will initially do enough work to keep you hanging for the finish. it gets frustrating. Please get a contract and stick to a timeline. It’s usually is a frustrating process. Be prepared for that.
