Did anyone see this week’s episode when they showed a black female deputy convert to Islam and sayin all sorta crazy things while wearing a burqa at work. They ridiculed islam pretty badly and I felt kinda sad knowing that it was totally unnecessary to portray a religion like that to people who have absolutely no knowledge or idea about it, other than the media based propoganda that its all bout terrorism .
A couple of other scenes showed
1 Her sleeping on the Praying rug.
2. Black Male Police officer grab her butt while she is wearing a Hijaab.
3. She taking off her Hijaab because they were offering her money to gamble?
4. Trying to make fun of Malcom X
5. Claiming Allah doesnt need direction?
I remember a scene when one offcer asked the other about ISlam and that was his reply
"Well there are two version of Islam..There is a nation of Islam that tells you to kill white men..and the other Islam which teaches you to kill everyone ".
Comedy central is known for making fun of religions like Judaism, Christianity, Mormonism etc in South Park and lots of other shows but the was they painted Islam in the midst of ongoing crisis was totally unnecessary. I hope the Isalmic Council of America would do necessary steps to talk to people at Comedy Central about this

hahha that is freakin hilarious!! im not a big fan of reno..but i wanna see that episode now..anybody know of reruns?
edit: if u think abt it, if ppl are that dumb as to base their opnions on a religon based on a comedy show then its a lost cause anyways.
well u gotta understand comedy central makes fun of EVERYONE..not just muslims....so i don't feel we were unfairly targeted...
yes it was wrong but then why don't we say anything when they make fun of jews or catholics or blacks or whites on south park???
n yah lussi's right, any body who makes their decision about a certain race/religion/ethnicity based on some episode of reno 911 or south park, or a story posted by a college student on some pakistani website ;) then uh ur a lost cause...
I find it a bit annoying that so many muslims have such thin skins and zero sense of humor. Harr cheez dil pe lay laitay hein. Who in his or her right mind takes Comedy Central seriously?
I think I've seen the commercial for that episode -- the woman says something like, "All praise is to Allah," and everyone ducks. I saw it over the summer and altho I can understand that it's dangerous given the current climate, it did make me giggle. It's making fun of the people who are so scared by Islam as well as Muslims.
I do think it's not good to take yourself too seriously.
