Actually I'm surprised no one has mentioned utilising biofuel ... in terms of calorific value it is similar to fossil fuels ... but it is still a pollutant ... albeit to a lesser degree. But I feel the most potential in our desi climate is biofuel ... plenty of cows, sheep and horses to keep that industry boyant ...

Yes - multiple alternative fuels and generation must be considered.

Very useful data. Did not realize China at 62 GW wind capacity leads US at 42GW.

Total capacity of WINDX250GW. wonder what % of total demand this constitutes.

Speaking of Renewable Energy, Panasonic Toshiba and Sony have been entering the PV and rechargeable vehicle battery market -! So far at a loss.
