Renew pakistani passport in UK

Aslaam o alaikum all.

Ok so does anyone know the nearest pakistani passport renewal office/consulate. Nearest to manchester. I know 4/5 yrs back it was london only. Is it still the same or do they offer this service in other cities too now. Plz help if anyone got theirs done recently. I want mine to be done on the same day so advise on that too as in fees/docs required.

Thank you in advanced

Re: Renew pakistani passport in UK

Dude,

London and Bradford are the only two places to get Machine Readable Passport (MRP). The Consulates of Pakistan in Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester are issuing Manual Passports for limited period of time to applicants not having Machine Readable Passports (MRPs). However there mood changes daily and when you attend they may say we are not issuing any manual passports (Old book type ones), you could go and try though, if not Bradford isn’t too far from Manchester just get machine readable from there.

You can find information on what you need and how much the fees are on the consulate website or follow this link… The High Commission for Pakistan in United Kingdom

Also I am unsure if you can get it same day, I have always led to believe it takes a minimum of a week on a emergency passport and normal can be delivered to your house if you live some distance away, or you can come in and collect it when they say its ready. However I may be wrong.

Re: Renew pakistani passport in UK

The MRP’s come from Pakistan…so u can’t expect them quickly. Takes time.

Manual ones can be had quicker if they still issue those

@bouncerhal…thanks soo much…i did not know one there is one bradford. Much easier now.

@Gujranwalay…they have stopped issuing manual ones now. Majority is mrp now. Yup its atleast a week (urgent ones).
