I can’t seem to rename files on my laptop?

Whenever I try to a msg comes up saying " the file may become unusable after" and when i rename it the file changes into some system file, and it really beceoms unusuable. I have to CTRL Z it to bring it back.

Is this spyware? virus? what is this problem., I can’t rename any icon/files etc.

i think i've had the same problem,
you just gotta make sure to name your file, and then put in the format of the file

for example
song.mp3
not just song

Open My Documents, then from the file menu go to Tools->Folder Options-> Click on View tab and then check the box which says "Hide extensions for known file types". This will do away with the file extensions that appear with the file name, which means myFile.doc will now appear as myFile. You won't have to worry about the file extensions anymore after committing the above suggested settings.
