I made the following post in the thread titled Dajjal: System or Person?

So, any consensus over dajjal among certified muslims?

Given that his appearance is a pre-requisite to the appearance of imam mahdi and given that everyone is going to recognize him and imam mahdi as soon as they appear, there ought to be some certainty about him.

Could you people list his attributes as you understand them? List please. No essays.

Since this seems like a tongue-in-cheek sort of remark, and you being an intelligent person I would refer you to the authentic books of Hadith to find precise description. It will do two things, firstly it will save everyone from writing essays, and secondly it will provide you with all the description you need; sincerity in knowledge coming from seeking it out. Actual sincerity in the quest being a pre-requisite. Alternatively, you can use the Search feature, and find sufficient material outlining the description, though I’m afraid you may discover essays upon essays on the topic instead of a concise list that you seek.

Given the selective outrage of the administrator in a forum where a thread about ahmadis was not only allowed to be opened in direct contravention of the rules, it was considered productive discussion for three months. This despite the question being answered by most ahmadis in the first week.

The administrator wasn’t bothered by participants of the thread calling Ahmadi holy personalities liars and repeatedly insulting our faith. The said posts weren’t even edited much less the members getting any warnings. It would seem that insulting other people and their religious sentiments is par for the course and they should learn to live with it. However, ask for the collective view of the torch bearers of Truth[SUP]TM[/SUP] and it’s derailing the thread.

In view of the selective sensitivity to violation (although, in my case the administrator didn’t even bother saying which rules were broken) of forum rules, I suggest that this forum be named Islam and Philosophy. It would also help if you add in parenthesis ‘sunni muslims only.’

And I can provide example after example from countless threads where people of teggy's beliefs derail threads by slinging mud at people of other beliefs. In those cases the response is not tongue and cheek as the administrator insinuates in my case but direct and open insults.

I'd be happy to oblige if administration asks for them.

I will add that the only two infractions I have received have been from teggy. And also all my bans were administered by him. One ban he simply extended it without my even getting a chance e to come back and the 2nd ban was a lifetime ban.

I did notice the above treatment to chacha. The first para that ended with "requires moderator intervention" actually was added by teggy after his initial response. Why did I notice it? Because I felt he unnecessarily inserted himself in a way that was not friendly to begin with. And when he added the titlist para I simply shook my head. Didn't want to create trouble.

Now that chacha has come forth I will add that the above insertion of the paragraph was inappropriate. And unnecessary. It was uncalled for aggression.

Since we are talking about infractions, I too would like to add that I have been banned by teggy for 30 days from religion section of the gupshup forum for a post which he found to be 'hurting' the feelings of majority of Muslims and that I was 'mocking' at the ahadith. If you had read my post for which I was banned, you will not see mocking anywhere. It was completely uncalled for and he is yet to show me where exactly was I mocking at the ahadith. I was simply pointing out the ahadith. He should have given me an answer to that, but rather decided to actually ban me. I am really very disappointed at his use of admin power. He must understand that no one is here to mock at ahadith, and everyone has the right of their own views keeping in mind that you're not insulting anyone and keeping your posts related to the topic. But I guess nowadays you're banned simply because your beliefs or views are not in line with the majority of Muslims, which hurts the feelings of Muslims and is labeled as someone who mocks at ahadith, nauzubillah.

First things first. Chacha, me and you have always gotten along very well so I am very disappointed that you decided to air PM's in public. Anyhow let me get to the point, I agree that insulting Ahmedi figures is as bad as anyone doing the same to Sunnis or Shias or insert sect.
Which is why in the past we banned any discussions on the topic, but people still had an issue.

Now I am not a deeply religious person nor do I have as much religious knowledge as some people, but my understanding was that Ahmedis do take all the stories about Imam Mehdi etc as metaphors. If that is the case then yes I fail to understand what the point of your post was? Second issue. If you see other people slinging mud at Ahmedi religious figures, have you reported the posts so Ali or the rest of us can see as well?

As a gesture of good faith I have reversed your infraction. But please, next time report a post and if you don't do then I don't understand the complaints.

Mr Popat, I thought your issue was dealt in numerous PM's? As I said I am not religious, however unless I am massively mistaken, I did find your post mocking with no references or no sources. Maybe I am doing it wrong but I did not find any donkey references that I found in your post in my google searches. Secondly, you're not banned are you? You're posting feedback on the moderation of the forum who you're accusing of banning people because of religious beliefs. Yet you're not banned. So lets leave this aside please? A couple of years ago we banned some users who would post silly and degrotory remarks about Ahmedis and in return we got abuse throughout wishing death on some of us. Yet that poster stayed banned. So don't tell me we stand and allow bigotry.

I have restored your access as well. But from now a general notice. Report the posts. Then PM us and then if the problem isn't solved then come in feedback forum. If you see any anti-Ahmedi inflammatory post then please report it. If you see any sectarian derogatory remarks then please report them.

If any one of you found anything derogatory you should have reported it. We tried to allow this topic considering that discussion is good for understanding each other, but unfortunately both threads had to be locked in the end.
