Removing your makeup

  • Foundation/base: remove your makeup with a cleanser

  • Lipstick/lipgloss next. Rub some vaseline on your lips and gently wipe it off with a tissue

  • Eye makeup: An eye makeup remover will be best as the eye is a gentle area.

  • After removing all the makeup, use a face wash to wash your face
    DO NOT

  • Start by washing your face, this dries the skin out
*]Over exfoliate the skin or use abrasive products. These can damage the skin and leaves it looking dull

Re: Removing your makeup

i think its better to use Johnson's facial wipes which not only cleanses but also removes makeup and at the same times tones ur skin..it can be used around eyes to remove the eye makeup..sounds like an ad:P but whenever i am sleepy i just use these wipes..when i am not sleepy:D i cleanse with makeup cleanser then tone with a good toner ...

Forget all that jazz…I use L’oreal Demaq 2 in 1…You can use it all over your face-eyes,lips, all over…

:cb:I actually get excited about removing my make up now, even more so than applying it…Alhamdulilah it has left my skin soft, supple and ‘clean’.

After using this I apply Oil of Olay Total effects…

Re: Removing your makeup

Marwah and Chunni Munni hope this helps:

Face toner is designed to improve the skin's natural chemical make-up by removing dead cells, oil, dirt and blackheads from the face. Many dermatologists consider toning to be a necessary part of one's daily skincare routine, the important step between cleansing and moisturizing.

Toner generally comes in the form of a liquid solution, which is poured onto a cotton ball and applied to the face in order to wipe away excess dirt and oil after cleansing :)

Re: Removing your makeup

toner gives a soothing effect to ur skin and tightens the pores..really refreshes u..so always first cleanse then tone and moisturise with ur moisturizer..should be non-comedogenic..

cleanser cleanses ur face ..this could be ur normal face wash or any makeup remover..nowadays i find such makeup removers using which u dont have to tone or moisturize..they r 3-in-1..dont use scrub to remove ur foundation..scrub u can use but only twice a week not everytime u put ur mkaeup on..if u do ur makeup say 4-5 days a week then its not practical to scrub ur face for this much time in a week..u better buy a good makeup remover..actually there r two things..toner and astringent..but a toner is milder than astringent. Astringent contains more alcohol. You should use a toner after you cleanse, to remove any extra makeup..

one same makeup remover can be used for face and eyes ..it goes down the pores to remove oil, dirt, and all types of makeup..after that u dont need to rinse.. hope this helps..

everytime u cleanse ur face use a toner...this could be even a cheap bottle of rose water or orange blossom water or this could be any branded toner...there r several in the market..

Re: Removing your makeup

Re: Removing your makeup

If u have any makeup on, wipe it off with a cleanser, then tone ur skin and finally u moisturise. There are plenty of good ones, Clinique, No.7, Body Shop do good ones :)

Re: Removing your makeup

Oh I forgot to mention that u can cleanse, moisturise and tone even if you haven't got any makeup on :)

Re: Removing your makeup

nice tips

:bummer: cosmetics dont suit my skin.i always get pimples on my cheeks if i use it more often

Re: Removing your makeup

what toner do you guys use?

Re: Removing your makeup

yes after using the toner..u can moisturize as well...it is very good for ur skin if u use the toner on daily basis...whether u put ur makeup on or not..toners r water-based..and astringents r alcohol-based..astringents r speciifed for oily skin..toners for dry or sensitive skin..so see whats ur type:) and u can find many good astringents and toners..body shop has a good variety...neutrogena range of products is also nice...if u r inclined to using herbal/natural then himalayas is also good..indian brand but good to some extent..i use their face pack and its really nice..so see whats ur skin type and then choose accordingly:)
