removing facial hair

What’s the best method of removing facial hair? I dont want the hair to grow back thicker. I can’t bleach because done that before that also increased the hair growth also changed the complexion of that area to greenish. Please share what you do to remove hair. O yeah can’t get laser done yet because hair isn’t thick enough.

Re: removing facial hair

Jolen waxing works a treat for me but do a test before though. You pop it in the microwave and use the wooden spatula to apply it. Growth is fine hair although it does pull the hair from the root and lasts a long time. Leaves your complexion smooth.

Re: removing facial hair

waxing

try not to get it threaded from desi auntiyan you never know if the thread is clean yuck. they can transfer diseases from it.

Re: removing facial hair

If you can't do laser which I've gotten done and is great b/c now i'm hairfree for life.

Then I suggest waxing. Anything else just makes it come back thicker.
I tried electrolysis but alot of times they are just in it for the money and you don't see results that fast.
So go with waxing.

Re: removing facial hair

If you go to a good electrologist, and clear the areas at each visit, you will see better results than laser because electrolysis can get all the hairs. not just the thick/dark ones. it's just a matter of working through all the hair cycles which is 12-18months whether it's laser or electrolysis.

Re: removing facial hair

^ thats true. my mom got it done, and first she went to a woman who would turn off the current and just pretend to be doing it, so my mom would keep goign back often. but then a friend of hers got the machine, so my mom went to her and her hair was gone in 6 sittings!

Re: removing facial hair

I don't know I went to the electrolysis place my doc recommended but I didn't see anything much but with laser I just went for 2 sittins and it's disappeared.
Plus I find elecrolysis more painful with it jabbing into ur skin and pulling out each hair one by one.
Laser I find less painful and I got faster results.

Re: removing facial hair

when was your last laser session?

Re: removing facial hair

oh boy ! that's unbelievable, how can there be such dishonest people LOL

Re: removing facial hair

^It is indeed terrible. But the consumer should be wise and do their research. A good starting place is to find a registered electrologist or with appropriate certification from the state they are practising in. In America, the CPE is probably the most rigorous training. Then the client should know what they should expect from treatment (i.e differentiating between an insertion which you shouldn’t feel and the current which you will feel) and always request a test patch. It’s generally better to start off with a small area and monitor it for a for weeks/months before parting with a lot of money.

The sad thing is, almost anyone can buy an electrolysis machine and start sticking needles in people but actually performing electrolysis properly and well requires hundreds of hours of experience and practice.

Re: removing facial hair

I prefer threading for facial hair. I was interested in trying out laser hair removal until friend of mine got it done and her upper lip looked green-ish...I dont kno if it because of hair thinkness, or her skin color being darker? But yeah, im sticking to threading for now.

Re: removing facial hair

about 4 years back. I got fed up of finding salons whenever I had to travel b/c I travel ALOT.
So my mom's friend rents out the machine and does it from home, so she guaranteed it in 3 sittings or less.
I ofc was skeptical and didn't buy it, but turns out after 2 I was all done. I still can't believe it.

I think the electrolysis lady was dishonest though b/c I honestly saw no difference when I use to go there.
It sucks how people are dishonest.
