Remove sun tan :(

Hello,
I m not sure if its the right section. But I need help!
How can I remove sun tan? Or at least lighten it?
I went out for 30 mins, and forgot to apply suncream :frowning:
My face (minus eyes area) and half arms are so tanned now, I wont mind if it was uniformly tanned, but its looking funny like this. Lol
Any suggestion?

Why don't you just wait for it to fade? Otherwise exfoliate or use a peel..

take some sand paper, or in your case, a lot of it and you know start sanding away....

You can use soap or lotions with Kojic acid to speed up process a bit. I went to Bali last year and thanks to 2 days of staying by the pool for like 3-4 hours each......got ugly tan lines despite having good sun screen. I used Kojie San soap but it still took me well over a month to get rid of the lines.

The concept of removing a tan is just so LMHO … A tan is not a cosmetic product - unless you follow Wilaiti’s sense of the term :hehe: … A real tan is a biochemical change to the skin. It naturally fades and will naturally strengthen when exposed to sunlight. You can’t take it off, you can however, remove the tanned skin cells which is directly and intentionally damaging your skin. Your tan comes from within you - it is not something that is put on and off.

Sit in the dark for two weeks, covered and see how pale you will become … no, don’t do that … it will be a horrible use of your time.

I would say, make the best of a bad tan … brush up with a bit of shimmer and call it your summer look …

Apply lemon juice to a cotton ball and rub it on your skin.

Well I know how tan works on skin, and it will take time to get back to normal but I thought I can do something to lighten it a bit.
Actually my main problem is with the face, bcoz of side bangs and sunglasses there are some areas which are normal, and some got so tanned. My complexion is fair so I m left with some very visible white spot all over the forehead. :bummer:

Plus my skin was burning badly, but i found remedy for that. :slight_smile:

I have heard tomatoes are great, just put the pulp of fresh tomatoes on your face and let dry

use tomatoes or lemon juice to lighten tan. Or i think you should use yogurt or potato on your face as you said your face was burning, yogurt gives a very soothing effect.

both tomato and lemon are stingy :s

Use mustard seeds mix them in yogurt and massage it on tje tanned areas. Mustard seeds work like scrubers
