Just for the record let us all take note of a couple things. First, the Jewish settlers are religious zealots. Second, through the second day the IDF is still unarmed, and there has been minimal violence. Acts of civil disobedience are getting worldwide Media coverage.
If this had been the elected government of a Muslim country evicting Muslims, how many would have died already? Beyond the tactical victory we have refered to above, there is a much larger tactical victory being won here. Jews are winning a victory. The nature of their protests is showing the world that even under great stress and conflict that they are people of peace. It's not like the settlers don't have plenty of weapons. they could barricade themselves and fight it out for days. The scenes of civil disobedience are powerful and appropriate. But peaceful. People are being evicted from Temples, religious sites, and STILL there are no weapons and deaths.
Not only is Sharon winning today, Jews are winning today.
