Property rules all over the world support ownership after certain length of tenancy.
We can see much closer to home that Musharraf can not claim ownership for his ancestral home in Delhi. The same thing is true for the Bharatis who left their big mansions in Karachi and Lahore. Or Christians can not reclaim the place next to Ayasofia where blue mosque is now situated.
Instead of shouting empty bharaks (slogans), we should applaud the efforts by the current owners who are ready to give up their claim for the sake of peace in the region.
