Re: Remittances soar 23% to $2.58bn in last 5 months

Indeed. The confidence that was sucked out by the former leaders of Pakistan, such as BB and NS.

Re: Remittances soar 23% to $2.58bn in last 5 months

And all this despite the incompetant dictatoril rule of Busharaf!

Re: Remittances soar 23% to $2.58bn in last 5 months

Long may the incompetence continue, if the results are unprecedented economic growth. :hehe:

Re: Remittances soar 23% to $2.58bn in last 5 months

Again Kudos to your History teacher for another of you historically gems.. :hehe:
Pakistan had “unprecedented” growth all through the 60’s then again in the 80’s… And only to be returned to the basket case of the world.

Re: Remittances soar 23% to $2.58bn in last 5 months

Are you suggesting Pakistan has only prospered under so-called dictatorship. :salute:

Re: Remittances soar 23% to $2.58bn in last 5 months

Re: Remittances soar 23% to $2.58bn in last 5 months

God Bless PaKpatriot1.

Re: Remittances soar 23% to $2.58bn in last 5 months

The most patriotic Pakistani's are those who live overseas, and there is no doubt about that. With them sending more and more money that is further of proof of that, but also the huge confidence they have now in the economic stability of Pakistan today.

Re: Remittances soar 23% to $2.58bn in last 5 months

Yeah right, talk about being judgemental.

Re: Remittances soar 23% to $2.58bn in last 5 months

One of the reasons why overseas Pakistanis are sending more and more money to Pakistan, is because it has never been easier for them to invest in Pakistan. They are taking as much advantage of the booming economy as Pakistanis living in Pakistan.

Re: Remittances soar 23% to $2.58bn in last 5 months

well like i said thanks to musharraf that he has opened up all markets in pakistan for people to come an invest in there, thats why you see huge investments coming in from forigners, overseas pakistani and locals

Re: Remittances soar 23% to $2.58bn in last 5 months

Yes, that is certainly true. The Musharraf govt restored the confidence of overseas Pakistanis people to invest in Pakistan again, this after Nawaz Sharif had looted their savings in 1998 when he frozen the Foreign currency accounts.

Re: Remittances soar 23% to $2.58bn in last 5 months

indeed and its a major achivement to put back confidence in them after they were looted.

Re: Remittances soar 23% to $2.58bn in last 5 months

Yes, and it is vitally important that a new elected government retains the confidence of overseas Pakistani's, so that they continue to send large amounts of money to Pakistan.
