:(

InshaAllah, hopefully those who are truly innocent and got caught because of being at the wroing place at the wrong time, they will see freedom and be able to reunite with their freinds and family. and hopefully those who are guilty would face the law and be punished accordingly.

It would also be a good time to pray for the families of those who were killed in the riyadh blasts, as well as for those in the WTC, as well as those in Blasts in Pakistan. May they be saved from criminals terrorizing people.

Salamalaikum

it isnt politics to care about our muslim brothers and sisters behind bars

"The likeness of the Muslims in their mutual love, mercy and compassion is the likeness of a [single] body, [where] if one part complains [of suffering], the entire body rallies to it in sleeplessness and fever." [Bukhari and Muslim]

The Messenger of Allah said, "The fasting person has a supplication that will never be rejected, and this is when he is about to break the fast." [Ibn Majah].

Thawban (R.A) stated that the Prophet (SAW)said: “Soon the nations will call one another against you, just as people call one another to eat from a platter of food.” A man asked: “Will this be because we will be few in number, O Messenger of Allaah?” He (SAW) replied: “No, you will be large in number, but you will be ghuthaa’a like the froth scum on the surface of a body of water, and Allaah will remove from the hearts of your enemies their fear of you and shall place in your hearts wahn.” Those present asked: “What is wahn O Messenger of Allaah?” He (SAW)replied: “The love of this worldly life and hatred of death.” Sunan Abu Dawood Book 37 Number 4284

118.O you who believe! Take not as (your) Bitanah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends, etc.) those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made plain to you the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses) if you understand.

51.O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Auliya' (friends, protectors, helpers, etc.), they are but Auliya' to one another. And if any amongst you takes them as Auliya', then surely he is one of them. Verily, Allah guides not those people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers and unjust).

52.And you see those in whose hearts there is a disease (of hypocrisy), they hurry to their friendship, saying: "We fear lest some misfortune of a disaster may befall us." Perhaps Allah may bring a victory or a decision according to His Will. Then they will become regretful for what they have been keeping as a secret in themselves.

53.And those who believe will say: "Are these the men (hypocrites) who swore their strongest oaths by Allah that they were with you (Muslims)?" All that they did has been in vain (because of their hypocrisy), and they have become the losers.

54.O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islam), Allah will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, stern towards the disbelievers, fighting in the Way of Allah, and never afraid of the blame of the blamers. That is the Grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knower.

55.Verily, your Wali (Protector or Helper) is Allah, His Messenger, and the believers, - those who perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat, and they bow down (submit themselves with obedience to Allah in prayer).

56.And whosoever takes Allah, His Messenger, and those who have believed, as Protectors, then the party of Allah will be the victorious.

sure we should be concerned about all muslims, but we also should pray for justice, afterall, an alleged murderer in a jail in Lahore should face trial and pay for his crimes. if he is innocent let him be free, if he is guilty he should face the proper punishment. Just because he is muslim does not mean he should not be behind bars.

Thats why I hope that they get a fair hearing and those who are innocent are sent back and those who are guilty pay for their crime.

why dont we extend the prayer, how about people who are jailed in their own countries incorrectly..

why dont we pray to god that justice is served for everyone, everywhere :)

Think not of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord;

They rejoice in the bounty provided by Allah: And with regard to those left behind, who have not yet joined them (in their bliss), the (Martyrs) glory in the fact that on them is no fear, nor have they (cause to) grieve.

They glory in the Grace and the bounty from Allah, and in the fact that Allah suffereth not the reward of the Faithful to be lost (in the least).
Of those who answered the call of Allah and the Messenger, even after being wounded, those who do right and refrain from wrong have a great reward;-

Men said to them: "A great army is gathering against you": And frightened them: But it (only) increased their Faith: They said: "For us Allah sufficeth, and He is the best disposer of affairs."

And they returned with Grace and bounty from Allah: no harm ever touched them: For they followed the good pleasure of Allah: And Allah is the Lord of bounties unbounded. Al Quran 3:169 - 174

I am sorry for disagreeing, but its not an issue of justice... its about being above the law. US is trying to play god here. Do you seriously expect justice for these prisoners?

Its just like, "Jis kee laathee us kee bheins"! What if Pakistan makes a similar prison, puts some citizens of another country in it... without caring about any international rules or ettiquetes? Would you still say that its about justice?

May Allah free those guys, and us too, of our sufferings! May he enable us to differentiate between the right and the wrong! Ameen!

justice from USA is only a dream.

read this.

The Bush administration says the detainees are not US citizens, nor are they being held on US soil, so they are not protected by laws relating to prisoners of war.

“Within the walls of this prison, foreign nationals may be held indefinitely, without charges or evidence of wrongdoing, without access to family, friends or legal counsel, and with no opportunity to establish their innocence.”

Washington has classified the detainees as “unlawful combatants” without any rights under the Geneva Conventions on the treatment of POWs.

Under such status, prisoners are not charged or allowed access to any legal process.

Last month, Christophe Girod - the senior Red Cross official in Washington - publicly attacked conditions at Guantanamo Bay, saying it was unacceptable that the detainees should be held indefinitely without legal safeguards.

The court will hear the appeal next year and will issue a ruling by the end of June, Reuters news agency reported.

i wonder how can one be so optimistic about getting justice when this is what USA government is relying on.
