from some time I was thinking about it. but now I am seriously considering it. The question is where should I move.. across Atlantic or somewhere in Europe. and what are the job aspects for an instrumentation engineer. I know by fact that this move will be a huge step down for me as a career move, but I am kinda getting sick of UK. … ![]()

India!
Why would I even consider India!
Re: Relocation Relocation
My advise is: Gain some working experience and then make sure that your relocation to wherever you want to go is a step up in your career rather than one down.

Umer thanks for the advice, well as for work experience I've got about 7 years experience now, and at the moment I am working as a Snr Projects Manager for an Engineering Company in UK.

In that case I don't think you need to accept a step down in your career in order to move abroad.

Consult Moin-ul-Atiq or if you can get hold of his address - our banned Dawa-e-Dil!
Re: Relocation Relocation
Anyway USA is a vast country to absorb you with lots and lots of opportunities! Noone is going to even come close to it until Yellow Stone erupts.
Re: Relocation Relocation
The US would be a good option.
What is your long term career plan? Staying with one firm? Switching firms for better opportunities? Be sure to keep the long term goal consistent with your present plans.
Re: Relocation Relocation
Kamran what type of roles are you looking for, what types of companies?
Re: Relocation Relocation
Kamran,
what if you get sick of the new place as well.......
i mean you are going to take risk by not only moving to a new place but also stepping down. Right now it might be easier for you to say but later on it would be hard for you to accept a lower level job.
so my advice: don't move until you find a job according to your education & experience - its very imp.
by the way, why do you think that its going to be a huge step down??? it may even get you a better opportunity.....
