I have been through relocation process for many times. I studied aboard, for most time, but never went for a job any where. I love myself, this country and every thing we have. I love people who are living here and who are willing to relocate back as well.
As for observation, there is no area in Pak, where I have not visited and lived for some time. Have very close friends all around, so usually can state most of the common facts about our country just by recalling.
Well whether people have wrong and mean behavior or even if I am making them loose their temper, I must have the rights to express my feelings and at least vote for whoever I guess is right.
:k: Definitely dear, be honest with your efforts and life and you will definitely succeed. :insha:
Meanwhile you make dua as well for our people to be brave enough to accept and respect other people and let them vote freely at least on some forum man.
Otherwise I was very near of having been kicked at my A** followed by a bombardment of messages by the MODERATOR of this section of the forum, yesterday one kicked mine just as I used the word, Sb Ar to cast my vote.
Why more and more words are becoming banned or not to be used on forums?
Chemical Industry is not as well established here. Most big companies (paint manufacturers or general chemical makers, textile, leather....) are still operating in the private (not co-operative) sector. So you can try to come here, meet each owner personally and then discuss with him about your capabilities and skills. Most people who are working in the industry for some time have established themselves and their pays are well comparable to other engineers.
You can try to apply in Fertilizers and cement companies online as well, which are well established and are operating in cooperative sector or owned by the Government. These companies have a good pay scale, provide proper housing and have time-shifting.
The pay you will get may vary from 25k-60k in the start, if you have good experience with some known firm.
From my experience at the start of my career…
Caltex (I worked there),
Shell
National Refineries LTd. (a lot of my buddy worked there)
Union Texas
Schlumberger
Hoecsht
ICI
Clariant Chemicals (previously Sandoz’s chemical division…I worked there)
Engro Chemicals Pak (always hire US degreed people - they were formerly Exxon)
Numerous others (MNCs multi national corps.)
Useful Links for Chemical and Mechanical Engineers
Here are some good links; you can make use of these when considering a job as mechanical or chemical engineer in Pakistan.
*A brief list of major companies in agriculture and fertilizer
*http://www.fadinap.org/pakistan/address.htm
Most of these companies have a web site too. Add them into your favorite links and keep on applying online, whenever you find a job announced.
You can email your cover letter to the companies (as pure text) that only have email address. In this case, it is better to provide your resume only when they ask you for it after recieving your cover letter.
just for teh information, if one lives in US say for 10 years and is able to save at least $100,000 then that money could be put in UBL and they pay 11% interest. That makes it almost Rs. 50,000 per month. That way you are safe if you don't get a job for a while, but, I am sure eventualy people do find job. well, this was just my idea.
