Without men who abuse women, there would be no need for prostitution. Don't damn the women, damn the men who force them into these situations. Nothing is accomplished through false accusations. If you start to view all women as being hypersexual then you will degrade them and view them all with suspicion. These men have no concept of sociology or psychology. I however, do. And as such, those actions taken on part of men who seek to "erradicate," these "social ills," through violence, only perpetuate it. Light bearer is correct. These vigilianties who attempt to justify their actions through ANY means, almost consistently fall down the slippery slope and end up becoming worse than what they were supposedly trying to stop. Hyperactive: "All of these things are personal choices...No Muslim will burn, kill, destroy or do any of the above because they simply aren't social evils...Any Muslim with a trace of Islamic knowledge knows that..." That's a fallacy. You keep talking about how "any Muslim with a shred of Islamic knowledge,etc," which can be applicable to those who abuse their perceptions of the religion. The religious police in Saudi Arabia stopped a group of girls without their abayas on from flee'ing a school that was on fire. They all died. Why? Because the police felt that an uncovered woman was a social ill. Don't excuse those with lofty self images or no respect for the rights of others, it never ends well.
