Religious pilgrims

Re: Religious pilgrims

I also live lahore. I dont go to those gathering nor celebrate Milad on streets but never saw any main road lke link road blocked for more than one day, during daylight especially.
Yes its expanding every year. Celebrations taking more streets. So if govt talk to one sect they would certainly talk to others sa well.

Re: Religious pilgrims

Chalo jis lahore aap rehtay osi ka bta do. Please tell me precisely for how many days shalamar link road was blocked last time?

Re: Religious pilgrims

Sir jee …kaaaN chita jaay…

Re: Religious pilgrims

Islam as religion doesnt even permits to offer salat on the road or way of pedestrian…let alone blocking the whole road and traffic for some so-called religous activity which is not even practised by the Prophet ( SAW) and His Companions (RZA)…

Yes, i do believe the activities which cause nuisance or discomfort to people cant be part of Islam but some other thing people have invented on their own for personal benifits…

Now, be that nuisance be there for a minute or days, be that because of Shias mourning a death or Sunnies celebrating or mourning birth or death…or Wahabies calling a convention..

Now these can beat themselves, celebrate to death or have convention in any designated place which can be a stadium, marriage hall, or anyother gathering point…no road may it be main, link or side road should be blocked…

If shias walking on road is wrong then sunni celebrating birth or death of Prophet is also wrong…but since they have their own religions which have little to do with Islam and Quran…hence nuisance is essential part of these man-made religions

Re: Religious pilgrims

[note]Everybody, just a headsup. We are not here to disrespect any sect or religion. More than welcome to discuss things you want but the choice of words is very important. Please make the right choice. Thanks.[/note]

Re: Religious pilgrims

I hope this be my first and last post in this thread. Purpose is not to argue but just to give the point of view.

So religious processions attended by mostly Shias is “nuisance”. Not surprising since for extremists, even the existence of a minority is just plain “nuisance”. Be it Jews/Roma in Nazi Germany, or Muslims in Trump’s America and Modi’s India. Such people use this excuse of “nuisance” only to suppress and subdue the minority, which in this case is Shias. The only way they can be satisfied is if they are totally eliminated or just somehow disappear.

I think the above explains very much the urge to start a topic on the Shia religious processions when there are myriad of REAL EXISTENTIAL threats faced by Pakistan today.

For ordinary non-Shia Pakistanis, religious processions are not a big deal considering that these processions are attended by very ordinary people with their families. They are non-violent, non-threatening, and not against any group/religion/sect/etc but in the memory of the grandson of the prophet every Muslim claims to follow.

For those considering it nuisance, they should be reminded of azaan on loudspeakers five times a day. Azaan on loudspeaker is totally unnecessary and was considered ‘bidah’ by ulema in the early twentieth century.

Or may be consider the miserable condition of the town after the passing of Eidul Azha. Remeber the filth, the smell.

Just open up your mind. There are tens of such examples.

But of course, it is easy to target a minority and get away with it.

Re: Religious pilgrims

(Sorry, the second post)

Why do some people like to go after the weaker sections of society? Reasons vary but I will mention one interesting kind of such people.

These are the people with some sort of inferiority complex or insecurity. For example, a white person who has failed in life may become a racist extremist against non-Whites because he himself understands his failure in life.
Another example is from my own life. At a place I used to work long time ago, people used to make fun of a timid, short guy. I used to feel sympathy for him. One day I saw people going after another guy, and to my amazement that timid, short guy also joined them.
I realized that this one day he felt powerful and free. This one day had given him the opportunity to forget about his own inferiority and abuses.

I just laugh at such weak timid people. But if abusing minorities gives them a sense of power and makes them forget their insecurities then, well, good for them.

Re: Religious pilgrims

No road blockage be allowed due to any religious or political agenda…
All such activities on allocated places. No loud speakers to be allowed for religious activities. My home in khi not able to sleep during rabiulawal due to full volume naat and during muharram due to the majalis

Re: Religious pilgrims

Seems more like disturbed by mujras on the road then shia walking/ road block

Distract/disturb the drivers?

Re: Religious pilgrims

British policy about Muharram procession were very good , limited licences for limited routs .
These policies continued till 80s and there were no problems

Re: Religious pilgrims

You mean these relegius values? Don’t you think ‘mujra’ is better option? I wonder if real current supplied to the bottom of Pir Current Shah and see how the real current makes the difference?

This current can help reduce power cuts?

Re: Religious pilgrims

It is amazing how the country was destroyed by molvi/momin phenomenon since Zia-ul-Haq times. I left in 1993, during such transition, Pakistan now seems to be a different country inhibited by evil dark cult followers. This reminds me of pre-Islamic pagans who worshipped the devils, La’t, Manat, Uzha and evils. Laanat hay aaisay vulgar Islami nizam par. These molvies are not the followers of Prophet Mohammad PBUH, but the followers of Satan Iblis.

Re: Religious pilgrims

in the history and now a days Muslims are always destroyed by Mullas and traitors .

Re: Religious pilgrims

I agree, Mulla of Pakistam is practical version of what Iqbal said about them, calling them Source of Fitnah and Fasad…

Mullah and low class politicians are main reason of deotriation of the society…
