Religious Conversion - Should they be allowed ?

The convertor adn the convertee should elope.

^ Abey ye love story wala Conversion nahin hai.

Zaavia/bitter/Tom and others - Is Conversion justified for marriages ?

this is quite like that other thread that got closed regarding the ban on Indian channels. Same answer here:

Either put up, or shut up.

It's the American way.

Asif, I wasn;t talking about conversion for the sake of marriage. Which by itself is a stupid thing. I am talking about all the other types of conversion. Once converted both the converter and the convertee should be blund and gagged naked, poured mollases on and then sprinkled with chocolate and then made sit atop an ant farm.

Nothing is justified or unjustified. If one member converts to please the loved one without coersion it's justified. Frankly, who the f*** cares.

But I will say that people who can feel secure with the spouse being of a different religion are people of a higher calibre than others. Usually such people are highly intelligent and/or intellectual. They may be super achievers too. For eg I read Sharukhs interview and how he views this whole religion thing, and you could see at once that his was an uncommon mind. Or take Anil Dharkar and his Pakistani wife. Both wise and mature in their ways, with Dharkar of course being one of the leading lights of letters.

In the end it boils down to small minds will think small and big minds will think big.

That's part of the charm of GS. Love it when threads deteriorate. Some of the replies are classic. :)

The conversion is for economic gain, not for spiritual gain. Anyone know what these missionaries get from converting so many people?

i agree with you . if high caste hindus dont allow dalits in their temple why should they remain in the same religen? they have the right to reject who reject them.
