So I was watching Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge on ARY, and the scene where Kajol prays has been totally deleted.

This is scene before she asks her dad permission to go on month long trip to Europe. And the praying scene is about a minute or two long. I think she is reading the Holy Geeta book or reciting the Gayatri Mantra.

Are the TV channels in Pakistan not allowed to show any non-islamic religious content. Is it illegal ??

Like if a person is praying at a temple or church, is it always deleted ??

What about in the theaters ??

TV channels usually delete scenes that aren’t that important inorder to fit the movie in the specified time-slot it probably didn’t have anything to do with her praying in a church and reading non-Islamic religious text.
