skhan - then its not just these items that should not be ridiculed - its all belief systems. If a hindu on this forum is not allowed to insult the Quran, which is a fine rule (dont get me wrong), then no one has the right to insult the Vedas.
Criticism is something totally different - where you question validity, where you question logic behind laws, etc - that is the whole essence of the forum.
Like I said, what I was seeing was that these rules were being twisted and CRITICISM was being prohibited rather than just limiting the policing to ridicule.
why can not all of us should behave as educated people in a free society behave. No one should insult any one even among us too. But discussion, critisim,all this should be allowed because this is the way societies and many good things evolve. Stopping critisim or some one views if considered insulting , I find it strange. Every one has its birth right to put his point of view cross.Why not.?

PCG, if you get banned once, you become somewhat famous, a second banning get you martyr (shaheed) status, thrid you get become Hero, and 4th means they can’t live without you. You are halfway there, and I hate it.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. For some people, asking questions is considered the biggest sin. Molvi brigade tries to hide behind Islam. The are like hiding behind this thick black curtain and have bamboo sticks in their hands and beat passerby with those sticks while still hiding behind that black curtain. In Pakistan recently they were protesting about female runners in Sargodha and Gujranwala. Can you believe that?
