I continue to be distressed at negative portraying of anyone’s holy figures or beliefs.
Recently, I picked up an old edition of X-men comics by Marvel at some place, and was a bit upset at what I saw.
It showed hindu holy figures as evil mutants who were engaged in battle with other mutants. Basically it reduced hindu holy figures to old time mutants who were revered by simple masses and then shows them time travel and fight the good “x-men”.
I think this was uncalled for and marvel should be contacted for that. Unfortunately I dont recall the edition number but have shot off an email to marvel customer relations ppl.
Its true were do tend to treat harshly when it comes to others religion. But i still feel we are ignorent of how deep& low the undercurrent of hate runs on both sides.I have seen writings of Anear Sheikh & arun Shourie trashing Islam which even moderate Hindus gloat over & sincerely believe these slander, venomous blashphemy without any regard for religous sentiments of moslems.
Hindus seem disrespected in there religion more b/c of relatively lack of knowledge, reasoning & rational behind pre historic practices more than anything els
Dear friends, Islam is clear about this.It forbades muslims from calling even false gods of other people bad names infront of them. And if they enter into never ending useless arguments then we should tell them let it be known I do'nt believe what you believe and you do'nt believe what I believe. And leave it there.Above all it has been declared religious duty and Jihad has been sanctioned to protect"cloisters, churches, synagoges and mosques where name of Allah is raised. Please note in this verse Mosque came in the end. This speaks of great eaglitarianism of Islam.
