Religion and Morals

So how many of you think Religion is connected to Morals and values?

Can a person who is NOT religious be of good Morals, Values and Ethics?

Why is it that Religion is associated with all those three when it is not necessarily the case?

Because religious people base their morals on religion and hence think that morality cannot have any other basis. Which i don’t think is true.
