Religion and death sentence

The civilized world is against the death sentence.
In India a death sentence executed today after 9 years (last one took place in 1995), while protests, demonstration were going on out of the jail.
Many countries have rejected death sentence. In some countries it is executed in some polite manners, like lethal injecting, in India still we practice hanging.
In Iran they hang a person in public. In Saudi Arabia, in Afghanistan death by stoning is a religious custom.

‘Death sentence is against the will of God. Tooth for a tooth, eye for an eye, there will be no eye and no tooth left in the world,’ read a Bishop’s College placard.
