recently a good friend of mine, wanted to borrow $2000 from me…he said, he will pay me back after 1 week when his parents come back from dubai. I asked him what is the money goin to be used for? he said he wanted to buy a car and hes short, and i told him if ur parents are giving u money, then WHY cant you just wait for their arrival and buy the car then. I mean ur surviving right now and u can do it for another week. Like personaly i had very bad experience lending $5000 to one of my uncles, and i got it back after 2 years. After that experience i dont trust anyone again with my money! I just simply tell them “sorry i cant”.
Before this I made my brother hold onto my $30,000 and i got it back in pieces! 10k one month and rest in small payments…i asked him why cant he just give me back the money all in one shot? He said hes not allowed cuz the bank rules etc..bull**** i know better where to keep my money next time.
Never involve money in your relationships with friends or far away relatives. I would give a loan to my brother, but not to a any distant cousins relatives etc.
Money is like a poison, it can poison even the most strongest relationships.
My grandfather used to own one of the first printing presses in karachi in the1950's and he let one of his relatives take care of it while my grandfather was in UK. It turns out when I came back, his relative stole all this property and my grandfather and his children had to live a poor life in a tent. But my mother's family still became successful later and most her brother's/sisters families live in UK. while the guy who stole the money passed away, and his children are still fighting over that haram money to this day.
