Relationships between indians and pakistanis

Re: Relationships between indians and pakistanis

I stil harbor deep gievances against a certain muslim gentleman. When we moved to Bombay many moons ago, my father had this man (with a long flowing beard) stitch our school uniforms. For our full pants (that is what we called them those days), this owner of the “Master Taylors” shop used his own unique approach - he stitched our cotton pants to exact length. Sure enough, after the first wash, the pants shrank, and we were walking like Charlie Chaplin, with the bottom about 3-4 inches above our ankle.

Over the years, his shop grew from a small shack to a reasonable space - and I was tickled whenever I saw him. if he is still around, I hope he is doing all right.

41 years later, remember clearly his taking our measurements in our living room. He was a dignified man.
