I don’t agree with that.
I understand that if you have to interact with hindus at work or university as acquaintances then sure try to be tactful and avoid any discussions about politics or religion.

But unity between muslims and hindus just because we are all desi or “south asian” is not a good idea. Unity between muslims and hindus did not happen in a thousand years and it won’t happen now or in a million years.

Instead we should try to promote unity between muslims who might be from different countries, belong to different races or speak different languages.

how , where and when do you propose we do that?
do you mean us members on this forum?
or our estemeed policticans?
perhaps lovely mulsims such as our ‘friends’ the Muslims against Crusades , so avidly described in the news today?

It is precisely this fantastical sort of pointless 'rose tinted ’ ‘islam will conquer the universe’ diatribe that i would expect a pakistani person to say - not saying you are one - just that this words resonate with me … i have heard this sort of comment so many times … it means nothing without ACTION.

Open your eyes and look at the world today - 2 years ago the muslims of the world stood by and watched the children of Gaza being bombed into oblivion - against worldwide condemnation - where was your muslim unity there?? that was the one time it was needed in recent memory, and the muslims were found lacking.

It embarasses me to be a muslim in this world mostly these days when i see what my brothers and sisters get up to - or how little they actually do - they talk a great talk but are at the back of the queue when it comes to doing !

introflection and despair are my only solace!!!
