Why don’t you see kids playing outside anymore?
And naturally, reasons like video games, and ipods and ipads, and iphones and imacs, and idontwanttoplayoutsidecuzimsuchalazybum come up what with childhood obesity on the rise…the inactivity causing the obesity and the obesity slowing kids down so they end up being inactive anyway.
What impact is this going to have on the future for the next generation?
I grew up playing outside and on the playground, and I made SO MANY FRIENDS that way. How many times will you hear of people getting married and they knew each other from the playground or they met a friend of a friend of someone they grew up with and played with?
All the time in the previous generation.

Comon man, wth. There are now ORGANIZATIONS dedicated to getting kids to come outdoors and meet other kids.
I am fearful that dating is going to become restricted entirely to 1. internet and 2. work (because that’s the only place you’re going to actually HAVE TO talk to other people, and even that is dwindling down now.
