A few time ago I was engaged. The rishta was arranged.
My fiance has 4 sisters and I dont have a click with any of them, which is quit bothering me.
My brother is married and I have a very good relationship with my bhabi, we both are very close
to each other, we have very open relationship, I can share anything with her. But with my nands-to-be I want the same realtionship. I find them very arrogant and secretive. And they dont make any efforts.
Any tips? How to handle this? Especially when I will have to live with them?
There is nothing you can do to make someone "like" you. All you can do is treat them nicely and be kind, if that doesn't work then nothing will. Sucking-up to them will only go so far
Unfortunately, you can't have it all. The only thing you can do is to make an effort and take the first step. Maybe they are hesitant, because they think the same about you. Try to get to know them, don't judge a book by its cover. If, they are what you thought they were then just leave them be. Don't waste you energy trying to make them like you. You're marrying their brother, not them. Invest that energy in your relationship with your husband instead.
