How well do you take rejection in every day life, may it be in relationships, jobs,etc? Is handling rejection one of your strong or weak points?

Rejection of only those should hurt, who are the ultimate in their qualities, and an option better than them is not possible / available for us.

For example. I 'should' feel hurt if the Prophet (saw) rejects me from his "shifa'at" on the day of judgement because of my carelessness towards the responsibility that Allah (swt) has blessed each one of us with as part of being the chosen ones (The Last Prophet's Ummatee).

On the contrary, in our daily life cases no person or organization is ultimate. So, one needs to carry on and ignore rejections with a spirit of raising ones level & with a belief that there was SURELY a *Khair *in it for us and InshaAllah Allah has kept for us a better option, i.e. waiting for us. (Only if we remain thankful, motivated and sincerely seek the wisdom to understand those hidden blessings)

I have not really faced any such rejection maybe because i might not have pushed myself enough. So i think even rejection has something positive in it, it means you atleast tried for something and had the guts to aim for it. That's better than nothing doing anything.

I know my academics have been very important to me all my life and it meant everything to me that i got accepted in whatever institutions i wanted to study in. By the grace of Allah that happened so i somewhat can't relate to it as such because for things that have mattered to me in life i have been fine with them. However what kind of scares me is the thought of going thru rishta process and getting rejected. I have seen it have such a negative impact on my friends that it scares the hell out of me. Rite now, i feel it should be ok because being a sane person i know everyone has the right to select as i do but when i talk to all these girls they really make it sound very hard to digest. So that really is a scary thought.

I have to admit I don't take rejection well at all. Whether it's from a university, job or a girl. I mope around and wallow in self pity for days before common sense prevails.

I don't take it easily at all :(
Personally I think it needs time and you have to help your self out of the hurt. If i keep on crying 'why me?' it would linger. If i constantly tell myself to move on because it was for the best, it'll eventually subsides.

See i dont mean to say that things are all relaxed for the guys but its not as bad as the girls get it. For example the guy wl be judged on his career and money only BUT the girl is judged on her looks, exposure, body structure, walking/talking style, etc etc.
