Re: rejection..

I'm struggling with a huge rejection now and I'm still not over it. Have taken everyone's advice and I'm trying to do the best I can. Rejection sucks and I'm hoping "time heals all wounds" has power behind it.

Re: rejection..

what kind of rejection?
i had a few rejections job related...but because im very young n have other alternatives. I didnt take it very seriously n moved on

Re: rejection..

being with kids..<3

and namaz definitely.

career and school rejections :( it's so hard to put your whole heart into something and never have it materialize. I wish I had magic fairy pixie dust to sprinkle on things and people so that they would HAVE to accept me... REJECTION SUCK!

It's a cliche but everything happens for the best. When you will look back at this some times later, you will know. For now, best thing to do is to remind yourself that whatever happens, happens only for the best.

Re: rejection..

Forget about them and move on?
They are missing out on a great experience anyway (:

Many of us have received school and job rejections. Keep in mind that the economy is strained and this will obviously impact employment. You shouldn't take it so personally because the employers that you interview with or send your application to (but have never interviewed you) don't even know you. You're strangers to one another. It's one thing to feel hurt over a rejection from someone you've invested a good deal of emotional energy into....but you don't even know these people.

Plus their reasons for rejection may include: 1) Finding someone with more experience (can't take this personally because it's not your fault that you're younger and lack experience), 2) Finding someone older (people have stereotypes about age...again can't be controlled), 3) You don't meet their needs (Doesn't necessarily mean that there's something wrong with you...just that you and God knows how many other candidates may not have what they're looking for), 5) Who knows? You could remind the employer of his/her ex, LOL.

***Also many employers are supposed to meet an interview quota. In other words they are required to interview x number of candidates. And it's possible that they already selected someone from the position before hand...but they still had to interview other candidates to meet the quota. Doesn't sound fair....but that's another possible reason not take it too much to heart.

InshaAllah, you'll find a job soon. You'll end up where you're meant to be. For now, enjoy the free time you have and make the most of it........because you end up missing it when you start working.

Re: rejection..

sit in bed watching bride and prejudice, while stuffing your face with ice cream and chocolate, crying over your depressed life and finally realising that mr darcy does not exist. :) happy days!!!!!

hahha thank you redvelvet! Honestly after you get rejected once you start getting use to it. The first time is the hardest. I think as it is in any situation.

meri behchari dost

Bride and Prejudice....oh that movie (the one with Aishwarya right?) was mediocre at best.

I like the original Pride and Prejudice version better (the book even more)...and out of the modern ones, I like Bridget Jones' Diary. I wish he existed as well, I have a crush on Mr. Darcy. And I think Collin Firth plays him best. :)

Collin Firth doesn't look like he'd break any hearts or reject a girl sigh

You just put a stone on your heart and deal with it

And listen to sad songs in the parking lot of McDonald's and cry

I have SO been there done that! I hate how I can't listen to certain songs because it reminds me of BEING REJECTED!!!

Re: rejection..

cry, curse, go for a movie, shopping, eat ice cream, mourn on how much money you have spent, think about other people who don't even have a penny to buy a loaf of roti and you here crying over rejection, pray and start think positive aspects of this rejection..as everything happens for the best.

Re: rejection..

for once try to love ONLY yourself!!!!

i was meant to put pride and prejudice. not bride. that one was utter cobblers. i wanted to pull my eyes out.lol .
