Is it acceptable to ask what exactly they didn’t like about you? Coz uhm thats xactly what I did, and now i"m waiting to hear from him.
I really think I was very qualified for it, skills, availalbility, professionalism (xcept for one minor mistake). And I"m sad and angry now that I didn’t get it
You have the right to ask, they have the right not to tell you, its about how you ask. Btw I am going through the same
I am thinking its the same resume thing u messed up on
Actually he said experience and writing sample indicate that this is not what they are looking for.. dint mention the resume thing (maybe he doesnt’ remember). Argh, am I gonna make it worse by responding to that ??? Its not like I have anything to lose now
record commercial of burger king commercial that says "have it your way"
then present the commercial to the boss and say i want the job and according to burger king commercial i should have it done my way, therefore the job is mine.
if boss says no they will not hire you, sue burger king for false advertising.

Sara, if you dont get this job, tehre is plenty others. I dont think its because of your whole forgetting to attach the resume the first time. I would think these are little things and nothing to worry about. If the hiring manager doesnt think you are the right person for that job, dont take it personally. I am sure it is nothing against you. Just imagine if you were hired but then you end you hating it because you truly arent the right person for it, both you and your co workers will be miserable.
Now, wipe that sad look off your face, and go apply for other jobs. I mean, for God’s sake, you live in NYC, there should be like a million and one jobs of the kind you are looking for.
Looks like the guy already gave you a reason for not hiring you…especially the “Experience” part.
**You’re free to ask them to give you more details beyond that, but I doubt they have the time or interest to explain any further. There are plenty of jobs out there…you should just move on. **
On a more serious note.
You should see this as a challenge Saraji. You should try to see it as their loss. Many roads lead to Rome. If one door closes, you will find 99 doors opening.
Goodluck.
P.s. Sometimes its OK to exagerate things. Years ago, when I applied for a parttime job, this company asked for people who had experience using ITIL. I didnt even know what it was, but after yahoo-ing (google didnt exist back then :halo: ) I found more info, downloaded a full ITIL course and applied
I didnt get to use it because I found a better job
