It was started by Musharraf when he used the crime evidences to negotiate political deals by giving NRO.. then we saw the present government was using JIT reports against MQM to align them politically.. and now this new report about PPP government using NICL scam evidence to align PML Q politically. It’s a very negative sign, crime should be dealt like crime.. and should not be used for political gains by the people in power.
Affidavit: Malik gave Qureshi ‘four options
LAHORE: FIA’s additional director general and National Investment Corporation Ltd (NICL) land scandal investigator Zafar Qureshi has submitted his affidavit to the commission instituted by the Supreme Court to probe the alleged political interference into the case, it is learnt.
Sources told this correspondent that that the affidavit submitted to the registrar says that Interior Minister Rehman Malik called Qureshi to his residence and told him that that the NICL case was damaging the PPP’s alliance with the PML-Q. Malik, therefore, gave Qureshi four options: 1) Declare Moonis Elahi as innocent, 2) go abroad until retirement, 3) inform the Supreme Court in writing that you can’t probe the case for personal reasons, and 4) proceed on leave under protest. Qureshi could not be contacted for his version as his phone was switched off.

NICL scam and involvement of Pervaiz Elahi's sons was one of the main reason PML-Q joined PPP govt... Otherwise it was same Pervaiz Elahi who once said to Mushy that Alliance with PPP is out of question, there is gulf of blood in between them... but the criminality of his son have changed everything, now it is all about saving his son and if for some reason, the govt fails to do that, i am sure PML-Q would get out of the alliance saying, the PPP govt was not acting to their advice of reforms for the development of the country, hence in greater interest of the country... they have came out of alliance...

It is very important to understand the role of Rehman Malik.
A corrupt third rate bureaucrat basically a broker type person.
He created problems due to his immature acts as DG FIA in Punjab during 1993-96. He is has no security,intelligence, investigation or vigilance at any rank even as a constable. His performance was well clear on!8th October and 27th December 2007. Even UN criticized his role of 27th December 2007 He has en edge of being close to a Siakoti and low caste like him Malik Riaz who is the money king of establishment Malik Riaz. Better you all scholars here at PA should understand that all Pakistani politics is under Pindi-Islamabad local politics.
This man after leaving dying Benazir Bhutto at Liaqat Bagh reached Zardari House Islamabad and started playing dirty cards among Zardari ,establishment and others.

^^ That is wise of you, just tell me, does all the incompetents in PPP are inplants of establishment, abhi bhi sharam nahi ayee? appointing most incompetent person as interior minister and when he failed, start blaming establishment for that... and yes PPP tu doodh key dhuli hay, itni masoom hay kay isay pata hi nahi kay kiya ho raha hay...

Rehman Malik was a chosen appointment by Zardari. This is all the PPP's own fault. You choose corrupt people like this to lead us this is what happens.
