Re: regular but less

how old are you? and how long has this been going on for?

Re: regular but less

I am 27 years old. and unmarried. and it happens from last 2or 3 months.

Re: regular but less

As long as you have regular period more than three days with 28-33 days gap in bw, all looks ok to me.
If less bleeding is causing you bloating and cramps then it could be a looked into.

Have you noticed an increased facial or body hair growth during this time? And when you say, feeling fat have you actually gained weight?

Re: regular but less

Actually i am taking medicine of facial hair. and is it due to this? as i think so.

and yah feeling increase in breast as well.

Re: regular but less

You could be suffering from polycystic ovaries but that's just a possibility.

Since when have you had facial hair problem?

Re: regular but less

You're taking birth control pills for the facial hair? If so, then it's normal for your monthly bleeding to be different. BCP also causes the breasts and tummy to be bloated.

Re: regular but less

I am unmarried then how can i take birth control pills. lol
i am taking medcing from dermatology
.

Re: regular but less

You dont have to be married to take BC pills, they can be used to control hormones that cause the problems you are having.

Re: regular but less

What is the name of the medication? We can tell you what it is.

Re: regular but less

tablets is ISOTOP. 20 MG. yah 90 tablets lani thi. nw 3 r left.

Re: regular but less

Can you read the ingredients and give them please, or find the drug name usually written in brackets underneath the brand name in this case 'ISOTOP'.

Re: regular but less

Are you sure this is all he/she gave you?

This is Isotretinoin (brand name Accutane in USA) which is for severe acne. It's not prescribed for facial hair. One of it's possible (numerous) side effects is permanent thinning of scalp hair.

Water retention (the increase in tummy and chest you are seeing) and changes to menstruation are listed in the side effects as well.

Unless you have bad acne, I would not be taking this. Talk to your dermatologist.

Re: regular but less

Oh well done stoppit! I am so rubbish with brand names! even google didnt recognise it!

Re: regular but less

wow thanx dear. yes i hv severe acne as well. he said me that it helps u in facial hair. but yah in acne as well. but acne still didnt cure well.
and yah u r taking abut thinning of hair is either for facial hair or head hair?

nw 90 capsule has to been end. any suggestion nw i am going to visit him, wt do i say to him?
or let him do treatment on his way?

Re: regular but less

I think you should stop taking Accutane (isotretinoin) after this. Accutane comes with a whole lot of side effects and it's usually for the most severe form of acne. But it doesnt directly affect facial hair. It does cause hair thinning head hair mainly.

And one of its relatively uncommon side effect is menstrual irregularities. But it's best that you stop treatment now once your pills finish.

Re: regular but less

oh and esp if you are getting married within like next 6 months, it's best to stop these as they have effect on future pregnancies and these effects can result up to 4-5 months after stopping the pills. However it isnt permanent so you needn't worry about that.

Re: regular but less

My family doctor a phycian recommend me this dermatologist. His office is in model town Lahore.
Nw thinking first go to my family doctor and inform him abut periods and hair thinning. So that he talk to dermatologist. as i am going to marry in feb.
