Registration required by all Education Institutes

Hi again,

I recently heard that the Government of Pakistan has established the HEC (Higher Education Commission) and has closed down the UGC.

The HEC has made it mandatory for all eductaion institutes to regsiter with it. This includes all private colleges and also institutes that have foreign affiliation.

I have 2 questions in this regard:

  1. Is there any site where the names of the institutes is listed which
    have currently registered?

  2. Once an institute is registered, are all degrees issued by it chartered
    degrees and will they be recognized in the public sector?
