i wanted to ask someone about registering your mariage in the uk. i have had my nikah done, my husband is a pakistani national who has been in the uk for 3 years as a student and now on work permit, he has a 2 yr visa. we need to register our marriage here, i wanted to know what he needs to do. i know theres a procedure such as needing a certificate of approval i think but am not sure. the home office number is taking a while, so i thought il ask anyone on here if they know or if they were in a similar situation and what did you do and how long does it take. my husband is still in pak at the moment, he will be coming back on the 23rd sep, i came back 2 days ago.
