I ended up restoring my system and it worked, alhamdulillah.

Here's what I had to do:

  1. I restored my system, but I think something was a little strange, so I wasn't satisfied.

  2. Restored it the 2nd time and noticed NOD32 has been wiped out (or not loading in the taskbar at least) and NAV wasn't functioning properly, as it was missing something critical.

  3. I uninstalled NAV and reinstalled it. It wouldn't work for some reason.

  4. I then resorted to uninstalling NAV and reinstalling NOD32 hoping that it'd work this time around, but to no avail.

  5. I got the same regedit.exe - Application Error that I encountered earlier on.

  6. I then restored my system the third time. I uninstalled NAV and installed Avast anti-virus and my system seems to be working fine at the moment, alhamdulillah.
