I rebooted my PC and I got this error. I thought it’s just a glitch, so I rebooted again. I got the same error. I pressed OK, then it came again. I pressed OK for the 2nd time and then it went away.
I recently uninstalled NAV and installed NOD32. Other than that, some program wanted access earlier this evening, but since I wasn’t familiar with it, I denied access.
What can I possibly do to fix this problem?

I ended up restoring my system and it worked, alhamdulillah.
Here's what I had to do:
I restored my system, but I think something was a little strange, so I wasn't satisfied.
Restored it the 2nd time and noticed NOD32 has been wiped out (or not loading in the taskbar at least) and NAV wasn't functioning properly, as it was missing something critical.
I uninstalled NAV and reinstalled it. It wouldn't work for some reason.
I then resorted to uninstalling NAV and reinstalling NOD32 hoping that it'd work this time around, but to no avail.
I got the same regedit.exe - Application Error that I encountered earlier on.
I then restored my system the third time. I uninstalled NAV and installed Avast anti-virus and my system seems to be working fine at the moment, alhamdulillah.

on a second thought, uninstalling norton was cool :k:

Mr. Genius, I got worried and was panicking. Hence, the reason why I resorted to using System Restore.
Should I encounter this problem again, what's the best solution to solve it?

Your saying you have NOD32 and NAV installed and running at the same time?
Stick to one and get rid of the other.
PS: i wanna see your desktop wallpaper as well.

5abi, nope I only had one. I used to have NAV. Uninstalled it and installed NOD32. A few days later I got the registry error due to which I tried installing both separately, but it wouldn't work. Hence, I ended up with Avast.
As for the wallpaper, I'll post it this evening. However, it's Toshiba's Satellite wallpaper that I got with the laptop. :p

uhmmm.. well we could tried several things... regedt32.exe, registrylite, some windows protected file system tricks, some human error tests :)
u sure regedit hi type kia tha na... ya phir much ado abt nothing ? :D
