I have been reading the religion forum at gupshup for sometime though I dont make that many posts, and the one thing that always irked me was the handling of the moratorium. Its been in effect for quite some time yet every week or two a couple of threads get closed down.And I see this curren state of its implementation as the most ineffective one possible. If the moratorium is to be seriously implemented then the people who consistently break it should be banned either temporarilly or permanently. This attitude of the mods showing up after the threads filled with hateful and insulting comments and closing the thread has proven to be ineffective and I’m surpirsed no one has thought of anything better. Either remove the moratorium on sectarian discussions and impose a ban on insults and ridicule(and not the discussions themselves) or enforce this moratorium which calls for no sectarian discussion whatsoever (which has become a farce) with atleast half a heart. This attitude of “neither here nor there” is quite pathetic to be honest.
Insults and redicule are already prohibited under the Rules of Religion Forum](http://www.gupistan.com/forums/showrules.php?forumid=20).
Mods are not online 24/7, and they close the discussion on sectarian issues when they see them. We have not issued a lot of formal warnings on moratorium violation lately, but if some members insist on playing with the rules on a regular basis, they may just get formal warnings and will be kicked out of GUPSHUP.

You can help us keep the site clean by reporting abuse of the rules to the mods as and when you see it.
Certain times are more sensitive than others for fora like Religion and it becomes difficult to keep up with the number of posts. If you see an offending post or thread, report it.
