Currently need to write business plan for my upcoming business venture, other then consultancy business which i am applying for in madinah.
I need business plans for retail business, can any one help me in the topics i should cover?
Initialy i plan to have a
Executive summary (1-2 pager)
Purpose of the business
Market analysis
Financial analysis
payback expected( as i need to give it to some venture capitalist)
I have helped someone write Business plan and currently writing my own. And as this above post has pointed out..these points needs to be included. Make sure to add..graphs and figures which are easy to analyze. I say...the most challenging part it to write Financial Projections. May be if i got time...i can send you my sample writing which i have created..

i know about SMEDA. but the plan is for some thing unique and is for UAE. I shared some business idea with a friend who asked me to prepare the business plan as he have discussed this with some sharia compliant investor.
My point was, that you can copy content from the pre-feasibility reports on SMEDA's website anyway its good if you want to write something on your own too.

I have started a few side projects of my own and I would highly recommend a thorough SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analysis, as this gives you a great macro view of your plan.
