Mem sahib, that is just plain dumb. How can you have a hero called REFUGEE? The dialogue just wouldn’t work. e.g.
Heroine: “…mat chor ke jaana - sob - maiN tujjay bahut pyaar karti hu, REFUGEE..”
It sucks.
In my film, the hero will be called Abdullah and the heroine will be called Sunita. No beating around the bush.
I have also decided that Abdullah will lose his leg in a land-mine explosion and will use a crutch for the dance scenes. As soon as the script is complete I will send it to one of the top Bollywood moguls and keep my fingers crossed that communal riots don’t break out forcing the film to be pulled. well muslim marrying hindu girl has been there in hindi movies. i think in 'earth' hero is muslim. in 'lekin' amjad khan plays a muslim with hindu wife. i dont think they provoked riots.
why are u so bugged with refugee. he is brought up in muslim family. i have not seen hindu raised in muslim family. there is no compelling reason to assume he is one. The movie is anti-pakistan. But it is indian movie.

As far as enemity of two nations and the biases alongwith are concerned, who is free of nationalist biases. As u said, u are not. If u were indian, still u might not be.

As far as names are concerned, indians can have convoluted sense of humour.
Laloo Yadav has a daughter called MISA since he was in jail under the law called MISA. during emergency, which was called 'anibani' in marathi, a lady gave birth to twin in jail which were named 'ani' and 'bani'. so refugee is unheard of but not unthinkable.

haven’t seen it yet—songs are good though…the reveiws seem good…weill watch it…I think it is obvious that there will be a slight bias against pakistan–alwayz is.

Indin ppl dont make the movie seem realistic i mean remember kachee dhage (ajay devgan, manisha, saif ali) One minut manisha is a muslim girl then the next minute ina song she is all up on him showing her sjin and evrything, next monute in frot of her fatehr shes all coverd up in a dupatta.

offdachain, did u see the movie? where the hero is shown to be hindu? everyone is assuming the same thing.
hero is brought up in muslim house. there is nothing to suggest that he is hindu.
and as i said, there are movies like 'earth' where hero is muslim and heroine is hindu or 'lekin' where a muslim guy marries hindu girl. As far as neither person changing religion is concerned, that does happen in reality.
