Well yet another flick by JP Dutta and a long awaited debute by Abhishek and Karina kapoor. Other than the the two appreciating performance there was nothing in the movie. No story line, no music, in brief a waste of 8 dollars and also 3 hours of time.
JP Dutta tried to create another “border”, with the same cast, same music director and the same Anti Pakistan propaganda which at the climax of the movie turns to Pakistan being the bad guy always. And then India conveying the message of peace!
The film made no sense at all. Why was refugee a refugee? Who were his parents, why was he so angry? Nothing was told in the movie till the end. The movie starts with Muhajirs from Bihar who used to live in Bengal migrating to Pakistan and suddenly the story twists to the house making of Karina and Abhishek and all of a sudden another turn where PAkistani villains infiltrate India. The fun thing was seeing 1996 rang rovers being used indian army in 1971. The pakistani Rangers uniforms were very badly done. And I am not a militray person but I think Army is not allowed to have long hair like Sunil Shetty. And I am pretty sure that a person is court mashalled after killing a fellow officer.
And the ending was the time when I felt like flying to India and shooting JP dutta, thre mazaar scene was so badly done. Muslims saints are not worshipped and bowed down to like that.
And my fellow Indian guppies say that PTV is propaganda. I mean in border A batallion of 80 Pakistani tanks being crushed by a bunch of Indian soldiers is one thing but three Pakistani soldiers ( or werent they, as Jackie sharoof said that they had something to do in Tel Aviv and New York) just going into India and capturing a village is one thing!
I was expecting a good movie and wasted my three hours and my one dollar on such a idiotic movie
first of all the script made no sense
they should have stuck to one theme
they had to stuff romance in between
kareena is stupid as hell....anybody can dance and sing
however comeon did you all see the way she was walking in her burqa as if she was up on the catwalk
what a directing job !!!
why wear a burqa just wear a mini and cross the border
i was completely lost after abishek gets beaten up and sent away on the camel
its a flop border was much better they stuck to the story balancing all aspects
I so totally did not feel dat movie , it was like what the hell are they talking about.
The girl in da start wears a burqa liek no one can ever see her face, then not even teh dupatta on her head until she gets knocked up adn then she wanna act liek she is the best person in the world and did not comitt any sin. and further more accusing other ppl of sinnig [shows no remorse 4 the sin shes commited, mama dont even care evey1 act like nothing happened]. then they wanna show dat the paki army ppl wanna kill each other over a grudge and a damn girl. They wanna show sat teh arrmy officer[sunil shetty] lets those bangali ppl stay just cuz he liked the girl. How stupid is it teh girl making a house for her self and nobody wanna ask her y or where the money came from. Then teh so called "refugee" talk about how he belongs to no land and wether it b pakistan or indian he duz not care. and when the paki army officer says i hate u cuz u got indian blood he wanna start beating on him cuz "tu ney mere hindustan to gali di kuttey" uuuurrrrrrr i thought he did not care about the land. And then they want us to believe that MUSLIM ppl would actually fight to protect HINDUSTAN!!!
c'mon every musalman is a musalman first then a paki or indian, only time he fights is to protect his religion not a damn piece of land.
so u c the whole movie is like not worth wasting even a dollar on better yet not even 5 minutes. uuuuuuuurrrrrrr
abhi acted good. Karina was like wutever dude!!!
the character establishment is not consistant at all. I do not knwo what they were thinking when they made such a goofy cheesy PATHETIC movie!!
i thought the movie was ok...but yea, not worth watchin on the big screen...and definitly over-hyped a lot...not a great story-line...and no outstanding acting by anyone either (abhishek was ok...but kareena just didn't know how to act)...liked a couple of songs...but yea, worth a rental...not worth watchin on the big screen
I thought the movie was supposed to be a political movie (guess not), waste of money.
2nd, it's too much of a love story. 3rd.. what i didn't like was showing a Muslim girl have sex before marriage (because Baby was born right after the marriage, meaning if they didn't get married kid would have been a b*stard?).
Anyways there was no fight between Pakistan and India so cheap movie.

A pathetic attempt at God knows what. There was no plot, the actors and actresses had no idea how to act. The songs were alright. I think they are good to listen to only on the stereo. And what was the overall message of the whole thing? It's okay to have illegitimate kids? Why are so many indian movies lately have been trying to prove that. I remember a friend telling me that when she rented the DVD of Kiya kehna, it read, "priya, she has values, yet she is modern." Tauba. I think the world is surely coming to an end, if this is the kind of behavior which is being promoted. And those muslim sponsors who are promoting movies such as "refugee," man it's a "tazyana on their ghairat."
